for the colourful and creative
I’m an Ontario-bred, BC-based photographer, and I’m glad you’re here.
I love cold water, good light and bright colours.
With camera in hand, I can’t wait to capture all your favourite things.
i don’t expect your whole house to be painted white
Every frame I shoot is in service of capturing who you really are right now. There’s beauty and value in this moment in time, no props needed.
Somebody down the road, whether it’s your kids, grandkids, or your own future self, will find these photos and will get to live in these moments for a little while. I shoot with that person in mind.

You don't need much in the way of props to set a scene. Since we’re living in a trailer while we build our bus and my kitchen is outdoors, I had to improvise a little for this round of sourdough.
As you maybe already know if you’ve been hanging around here for a bit, I love COLOUR.
A few scenes from the farm lately. Gus has taken to farm life like a champ (I think he has grown again) and we are settling into a new routine that revolves around morning constitutionals, garden watering, river swims and daily chats with the farm fam.
These new Autonomy Fitness masks are another great example of using lifestyle branding photos to strengthen your existing business. Owner Ruby just needed a couple new photos to promote a new product to add to their growing collection of items in the shop. Using the photos in graphic to get the word out with a giveaway shows gratitude for existing clients and gets new clients in the door. Swipe to see Ruby’s lovely graphic!
On account of living in a travel trailer we haven’t been able to do much baking, and I’ve been dreaming of cakes made with summer berries and more of this chocolate zucchini bread.
Tools! Showing people how you create brings them into the process and helps them understand how much time and skill goes into your work. It’s a nice way to help people fully appreciate the final product. Besides, so many tools, like these Swiss chisels (and the classic film camera used to capture them!), are beautiful in their own right.
