A film negative is a time capsule

It turns fleeting time in beautiful objects

Everything about film stretches time, slows things down and creates space. The pause to load a fresh roll of film. The anticipation while the lab develops the photos. The careful process of printing. You'll never find a digital photo in a shoebox in the attic. We live in the physical world. Your photos should, too.

Everything starts with a portrait. Behind your art, your business, your family, is a picture of you.

A family portrait is so much more expansive than we were led to believe, and families in all their myriad weird, creative and loving shapes deserve to be documented. My queer family is the best thing I know and my favourite thing to photograph. My second favourite is yours.

The thing that makes your work unique is you, so that's where we start. After that it's a natural progression to what you create, how you do it and who you do it for. The result is a compelling story that invites your community to share in your world.

It's all about the process

The process of imprinting an image on a 6x6 negative. The process of running a business and creating things. The process of building a family and a life. To me the process is the most interesting thing.
